According to a report by the IDC, Samsung has become India’s biggest smartwatch manufacturer in the second quarter ending June 2021.

IDC Report

According to a report by the International Data Corporation Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, the company’s smartwatch shipments registered 860% year-on-year growth, thus making it to number one position in India. Samsung has ended its June quarter with a monstrous 41.2% volume market share. Samsung saw a 43% increase in shipments, surpassing the average growth rate for the same. Though Apple remains at the top in terms of shipments but its market share declined slightly compared to second quarter of 2020 due to increasing competition from Chinese and Indian brands.
