Samsung smart monitors boast to be do-it-all in nature

Samsung has introduced M5 and M7 smart monitors in India which claim to be ‘do-it-all screens. The two monitors are called so because they can be efficiently used as smart TVs not limited to monitor.

Samsung had earlier debuted M5 and M7 smart monitors in other countries like the US, Canada, and China. Well, now that they are here in India, let’s discuss what they have in the box to offer.

Samsung M5 and Samsung M7 Monitors Specs

Among the two monitors, Samsung M5 ships in two different screen sizes – 27-inch and 32-inch with a full-HD resolution while the M7 sports a 32-inch ultra-HD panel. Both the M5 and M7 support a 60Hz refresh rate, an 8ms response time, 178° viewing angle, and HDR10 resolution. 

The aspect ratio of the monitors is 16:9 in standard condition and interestingly, it can be adjusted to an aspect ratio of 21:9 for an ultra-wide requirement. 

Both the M5 and M7 monitors run on Tizen OS 5.5 software extending support to the DeX feature and Samsung SmartThings app for home control. The Samsung DeX support lets you use your Galaxy smartphone over the monitor. 

The Samsung smart monitors offer OTT platform support and come pre-installed with Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney+Hotstar, YouTube, and more. The monitors also allow you to work on Microsoft Office 365 apps. 

The South Korean conglomerate has included 10W in-built speakers while supporting sound mirroring. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, 3 USB-A ports, 2 HDMI ports, and one additional Type-C port in M7. The monitors can also be wall-mounted.

Samsung M5 and Samsung M7 Monitors Price & Availability

The Samsung M5 is priced at Rs. 21,999 for its 27-inch model and Rs. 24,999 for its 32-inch variant. On the other hand, the sole model of Samsung M7 will be sold at Rs. 36,999. The monitors are already on sale through Samsung.com, Amazon, and major offline retailers.
