With Android 15 Beta 4 reaching platform stability, Samsung is spinning the clock on its upcoming update, One UI 7.0. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming One UI 7.0 update; when it could roll out, and what models it could be available on.

One UI 7.0 Release Timeline

Samsung One Ui 7.0 release timeline

According to a report by SamMobile, the One UI 7.0 beta update will be live later in August. Due to the outgoing One UI 6.1.1 update for older foldables, Galaxy S series phones, tablets, etc., One UI 7.0 beta will launch in the third week of August. We think that the anticipated launch of Android 15 at the upcoming Google Pixel launch event could be at play here. It is clear that Samsung wants to take some time to get done with the current UI version and then move its focus to One UI 7.0.

For those catching up, One UI 7.0 is the next big operating system update for Samsung users. Based on Android 15, One UI 7.0 will add quite a lot of new features, along with a major UI overhaul and UX changes. The changes will make the upcoming operating system a significant update, both in terms of its importance on user experience and the size it occupies in storage.

One UI 7.0 Supported Phones

Initially, One UI 7.0 beta update will be available for the latest Galaxy S series phones, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra (review). There’s a chance that Samsung will roll out the update in its native market, which will allow the company to fix any hot bugs or issues. Then, within a couple of days, the update could hit other major markets like the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and India.

While the first wave of devices will include the Galaxy S24 series, the One UI 7.0 update should also soon be available on the Galaxy S23 series. As the new features in the One UI 6.1.1 update are now available on older foldables, it makes sense that One UI 7.0 will also expand to the recent foldables, especially the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. Anyway, One UI 7.0 will feature a new Quick Panel, upgraded lock screen design, a new search bar at the bottom of the app drawer, and changed app icons for the stock Samsung apps.
