Almost a month ago, on 15th August 2024, Maddock Films released the much-awaited sequel to its horror comedy Stree calling it Stree 2. The movie took off from where things ended in Stree One with the Chanderi gang returning to fight against evil to save the people of the village. Ever since its release, Stree 2 has not only become the highest grosser of 2024, but also surpassed movies like Pathaan and Dunki, and it is still running successfully in cinemas across India. However, now there is good news for those waiting for Stree 2 to stream on OTT to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes. We do have an update about when the movie will stream on the OTT platform but there is a twist to it.

Stree 2: OTT Streaming Date & Platform
Reports claim Stree 2 will stream on Amazon Prime Video starting 27th September. However, in the beginning, the movie will be available for rent only. It will become free for Prime Members in October 2024.
Since the OTT platform hasn’t confirmed anything, we are still awaiting an update.
In the meantime, if you want to watch Stree, it is available on Disney+Hotstar.
Stree 2: Cast & Crew
Stree 2 brings back the entire core cast from the first installment. Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in leading roles along with Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar.
Some star-studded cameos include Tamannah Bhatia, Akshay Kumar, and Varun Dhawan. It was directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
Stree 2: Storyline
This time, the story focuses on a devil called Sarkata, who is a headless entity haunting Chanderi by abducting women and instilling fear of staying within boundaries among them. To stop Sarakata, Vicky teams up with his gang and the unnamed woman, who is the love of her life. Will the gang be able to save Chanderi?

Stree 2: Budget & Collections
Stree 2 has a modest budget of Rs. 130 crore and it has now become one of the most profitable movies in recent years. The horror-comedy has grossed over Rs. 760 crore globally and Rs. 536 crore domestically, which places it just Rs. 46 crore behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. The global gross for Jawan is Rs. 1167 crore which is still a distant dream for Stree 2.
Stree 2 as Part of Horror-Comedy Universe
Maddock Films & Dinesh Vijan have already confirmed that a horror comedy universe is in the making. Previous movies that are a part of the universe include Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Roohi. After Stree 2, the future lineup includes Stree 3, Bhediya 2, Munjya 2, and Thama (Vampires of Vijay Nagar).
