UPI upgradation process could effect transaction in the coming days, Tweets NPCI

Unified Payment Interface better known as UPI has been making new records every month. In the month of December UPI recorded the highest number of transactions in terms of both value and volume. While UPI transactions are booming, next few days there might be some hiccups. National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) which facilitates UPI has said that the platform will be under maintenance over the next few days so it could affect transactions.

The UPI up-gradation process will take place between 1AM to 3AM over the next few days, NPCI wrote on its Twitter account. The national agency missed out to mention the dates when this will take place.

It is advisable to use other means of digital payment from midnights to early morning at least for the next few days to ensure their transaction is successful and money doesn’t get stuck in between banks.

What’s the need for UPI upgradation?

Time to time upgradation is improtant from multiple reasons. The upgradation process not only helps agency upscale their infrastruction but also enhance security arrangments by upgrading multi-layer defense mechenisum.
