Vivo V15 Pro With Snapdragon 675 Processor Surfaces In Geekbench Listing

Vivo will officially launch V15 and V15 Pro smartphones in India on February 20, 2019. From the press invites, we learn that the new device would flaunt a pop-up camera, but a new Geekbench listing also reveals the presence of the next generation Snapdragon 675 mobile platform on the Pro variant!

Vivo V15 Pro Features (Expected)

First and foremost, the head-turner is likely to be the new Snapdragon 675 chipset powering the device. For those of you who don’t know, this is an incremental upgrade to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 series.

Alleged Vivo V15 Pro Geekbench listing

The Octo-core Snapdragon 675 chipset would be clocked at 1.71 GHz and based on 11nm architecture. It could presumably outperform the performance of 12nm based SD670 and SD710. The device spotted in the above Geekbench listing features 6GB of RAM. As far as the storage is concerned, it could hit the stores in a 128GB variant.

On the surface, the Vivo V15 Pro could sport a Super AMOLED panel with an In-Display fingerprint reader. Reiterating the pop-up remark, it’s needless to point out the placement of the 32-megapixel front camera. Meanwhile, the rear could house a 48 MP primary camera along with an 8MP and 5MP modules. Like its contemporaries, it could also bake in AI into the optical optimizations in the camera department. 

From the Geekbench listing, we also know that the device could be running on Android 9 Pie based Funtouch OS.

The device is expected to be priced around INR 25,000 ($350/€305) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB onboard storage. It would reportedly retail in two color variants, viz. Blue gradient as well as Red & Black gradient.
