- vivo has already confirmed the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, while previous leaks revealed an 8.02-inch Samsung M14 display and a battery expected to be close to 6,900 mAh.
vivo has officially detailed the camera hardware of the upcoming X Fold6 ahead of its launch later this month in China. The company is putting a strong emphasis on photography this year, bringing flagship-grade camera hardware to its next-generation foldable while also introducing what it says is the first Zeiss APO-certified periscope camera in a foldable smartphone.
vivo X Fold6 Camera Details
The X Fold6 will feature a triple-camera setup led by a 200 MP Samsung HPB sensor. vivo says the main camera uses a large 1/1.4-inch sensor paired with an f/1.68 aperture and CIPA 4.5-level stabilization.
The telephoto camera uses a 50 MP Sony LYT-602 sensor with 3X optical zoom. vivo has partnered closely with Zeiss once again, and the company is highlighting the lens’ APO certification as one of the key upgrades this generation. The periscope camera also works with vivo’s Zeiss G2 Teleconverter accessory, extending the focal length to an equivalent of 200 mm or 8.6X.

vivo says the X Fold6 supports five portrait focal lengths ranging from 23 mm to 100 mm, with all of them capable of producing 50 MP images. The company has also added full-focal-length flash support, allowing the flash system to work across different zoom levels.
If this setup looks familiar, that’s because vivo has used the exact same camera hardware on the standard vivo X300.

Several software-based imaging features are returning as well. The X Fold6 will ship with the Blueprint Imaging Chip V3+ for image processing and computational photography tasks. Other confirmed features include Blueprint Native Colors, a new Blueprint Color Palette, film-style filters, AI Agent Camera Assistant, and AI Creative Camera tools (AI filters).

Other Specifications
The company recently revealed that the X Fold6 will become its first foldable to use a MediaTek flagship chipset, debuting with the custom-developed Dimensity 9500 Super Edition. According to vivo, the chip was co-developed over more than two years and has been optimized specifically for foldables.

The X Fold6 is expected to feature an 8.02-inch inner display built using Samsung’s latest M14 emissive material, while both the inner and outer displays are expected to reach up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. Previous leaks have also suggested a cover display measuring around 6.53 inches.
Reports suggest the foldable will pack a battery close to the 6,900 mAh mark alongside 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging support, which would make it one of the largest batteries currently available in a book-style foldable.
The X Fold6 is expected to debut in China before the end of June, with pricing and full availability details likely to be announced at the launch event.
