Xiaomi brings the third-generation Mi A series phone to India. The Mi A3 had made its official debut earlier this month in Spain and this Snapdragon 665-powered phones running Google’s unadulterated Android Pie software is now available in India starting at Rs. 12,999.
Specs and hardware for Mi A3 in India are exactly the same as those of Global variant.

Xiaomi Mi A3 will be available on Amazon India starting 12 PM on August 23.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Key Highlights
Cut to the chase, the Mi A3 sports a 6.08-inch 1520×720 pixel Super AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch up top. The Triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protected Glass back comes with 3 colors – “Not Just Blue”, “More Than White” and “Kind of Gray”. Well, the color names match Google’s naming scheme.

Speaking of Google, you have more of Google presence than usual Xiaomi phones. Yes, we are referring to the Android One which is basically Stock Android for budget-friendly non-Pixel phones. This is a drawing factor for the Mi A stable. You get a guaranteed 3 years of monthly security updates and 2 years of Android platform updates from Google.

Leave that out of the equation, you get the familiar hardware of the recent Xiaomi phones. A 32MP selfie snapper upfront, a 48MP sensor at the back using pixel-binning. The similarities continue with a 4000-ish mAh battery (4030 to be precise) that supports an 18W fast charger.
Like the recently unveiled Realme 5, this one also packs the Snapdragon 665 chipset. This is teamed with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage.
Xiaomi has learned from its past mistake and thence we get a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. Rest, Mi A3 also comes with a USB Type-C port, and a micro-SD expandable option.
