Asus expands its line-up with new Studiobook, Vivobook and Zenbook laptops

Taiwanese giant Asus is a reputable brand whose laptops are popular for their stellar design, affordable price and innovative developments. It has a broad line-up comprising everything from high-end gaming machines to everyday notebooks. Today, the company has expanded its product portfolio with the announcement of new creative series of laptops that include Studiobook, Vivobook, and Zenbook range. Let us have a look at all of them one by one.

Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 and Studiobook Pro 16

These have been designed specifically for the creators and have 16:10 displays and 45W processors. Both are available with 4K OLED displays and AMD Ryzen 5000H or Intel Core/Xeon processors, along with several other innovations. Both laptops can be configured with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX or an Intel Core i9-1190H for ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED. This series has also been equipped with a large trackpad, a number pad, dedicated mouse buttons and full-sized arrow keys. Moreover, new machines have an ASUS Dial, a small wheel resembling an analog stick that brings added functionality to Adobe After Effects, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and Premiere Pro. It has up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and will launch in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Alongside the ProArt Studiobook 16 line-up, Asus has unveiled a myriad of peripherals, including an OLED monitor, ProArt mouse, and more. The ProArt Mouse MD300 is the company’s first mouse to include Dial support. It also features a laser sensor that tracks up to 4200 dpi, 1000Hz polling rate, and a side scroll wheel among other things.

The ProArt Display PA32DC, on the other hand, features a 31.5-inch 4K OLED panel with a 3840 x 2160 resolution, 0.1ms response time, and 99% DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour gamut. The monitor also has HDR support, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and an automatic colour calibration feature.

Vivobook Pro 14X/16X OLED (M7400, M7600, N7400, N7600)

Vivobook Pro 14X/16X OLED, is a powerhouse for creators which delivers speed and accuracy needed by them. Vivobook Pro 14X features a 14-inch Nano Edge 4K OLED display, while the Vivobook Pro 16X comes with a 16-inch Nano Edge 4K OLED display. Both the models are powered by either AMD Ryzen 5000H series mobile processors or Intel Core i7 processors which are further paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050Ti graphics. These two laptops also have an exclusive Dial Pad for precise and better control over creative tools.

Vivobook Pro 14/15 OLED (M3401, M3500, M3400, M3500)

These two are available in two colour options- Quiet Blue or Cool Silver. They have 14-inch or 15-inch Nano Edge 2.8K/FHD OLED display and Harman Kardon- certified audio, Vivobook Pro 14/15 OLED laptops are designed to give a better balance between work and play. Powered by AMD Ryzen 5000H Series Mobile Processors or Intel Core i7 and NVIDIA Ge Force RTX 3050 graphics. Other features include dual-fan cooling system and Wi-Fi 6.

Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED

Asus has also taken a step forward in its premium laptop line-up for creators with Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582). It is a high-performance 15.6-inch laptop that introduces the new tilting Asus Screen Pad Plus, a full width 14-inch secondary touchscreen with improved readability that works seamlessly with main 4K OLED HDR Nano Edge touchscreen for multitasking. The upgraded Screen Xpert 2 software on Screen Pad plus introduces powerful new features, including the Asus Control Panel app that promises to streamline creative workflow. It also delivers excellent performance with up to an Intel Core i9 processor and up to the latest professional level NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 discrete graphics.

Zenbook 14X OLED and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED

Zenbook 14X OLED and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED, as the name implies come with OLED displays. They feature a slim, light and compact design with 16:10 4K panels with HDR support and touchscreen. The displays are also claimed to offer deep black and vivid colours. It is powered by 11th generation Intel Core processors or and YZEN 5000 H series processors, these laptops claim to deliver maximum performance with Asus Intelligent Performance Technology, while the precision-engineered 180 degree Ergo Lift hinge, Screen Pad and Number Pad also ensure a premium user experience.

When will they be available?

All these creator-friendly laptops are expected to be available for sale globally from the Asus website and selected third-party retailers from December 2021, but their prices might vary from region to region. For details about Indian prices, stay tuned to this space.
