Nothing isn’t slowing down. Just as the hype around its recent releases begins to settle, new filings suggest the London-based company is already preparing its next hardware move.

Two new model numbers—A009 and A009P—have officially appeared in the GSMA IMEI database. While Nothing hasn’t commented on the listings, these registrations are usually the final step before a device moves from the “secret prototype” phase to an actual commercial launch.

The mysterious Nothing models: A009 and A009P

According to information obtained from the GSMA database, two new devices registered under the name NOTHING Technology Limited have been officially recognized. The database shows two smartphones listed under the model numbers A009 and A009P.

The GSMA IMEI database is the most reliable source used to ensure mobile devices have a globally unique identifier. When a manufacturer registers a new model number in this database, it indicates that the device is no longer just a design concept but is undergoing legal preparations to be launched as a commercial product. Therefore, the existence of the Nothing A009 and A009P models is not just a leak but data verified by official organizations.

Model Number Analysis: The Difference Between A009 and A009P

The most noticeable difference between the identified models is in the character structure at the end of the model numbers. While the standard model is determined as “A009,” the other model being named “A009P” is of great importance in terms of classification practices in the technology sector.

Based on the information provided, the letter “P” at the end of the model number may represent a critical distinction regarding the device’s technical capabilities. This suffix generally refers to two main terms for Nothing models: “Pro” or “Plus“.

As the official marketing names of the devices are not yet known, it is not clear exactly what word this “P” letter represents. However, this distinction confirms that Nothing will enter the market with two different devices targeting two different segments or user needs at the same time.

Current Situation

The only concrete data we have regarding Nothing’s A009 and A009P models is that these devices have been officially registered. The “P” difference between the model numbers indicates that users will be offered a variety of options, while the secrecy surrounding the technical specifications points to the brand continuing its confidential work on these models. As of January 19, 2026, these models are the clearest sign of Nothing’s new move in the technology market.
