Just a few days ago, we reported here on SmartPrix that Apple is likely to launch its upcoming iPad Pro 2022 without holding a launch event for it. Turns out that was on Tuesday when Apple launched both 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2022 powered by an Apple M2 silicon chip inside. It comes with optional 5G mmWave for the U.S. version while there’s the obvious WiFi only and WiFi+5G sub-6GHz available for other countries.

Apple iPad Pro 2022 Pricing and Availability in India

Apple iPad Pro 2022 11-inch model is available in two variants. There’s a WiFi variant available in India at INR 81,900/- while the WiFi+ Cellular model is priced at INR 96,000/-.

The larger iPad Pro 2022 12-inch model has a WiFi variant priced at INR 1,12,900/- while the WiFi plus Cellular model gets the pricing at INR 1,27,900/-. These pricing are for the base variant as you can get your hands on varied storage sizes i.e. 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB where each upgrade is pricier than the previous one.

Apart from that, you get to choose between Space Grey and Silver color variants available with the iPad Pro 2022.

Apple iPad Pro 2022 Specifications

Starting with the powerhouse, Apple iPad Pro 2022 draws power from Apple M2 silicon that was launched with Macbook Air earlier this year. The SoC offers 15 percent better performance and power efficiency compared to its predecessor. Its 10-core GPU takes graphics processing seriously offering 35 percent better performance as claimed by Apple.

Moving on, we have Apple’s Neural Engine that uses AI acceleration to maximize the performance ahead. The tab is powered by up to 16GB of unified memory onboard with storage options ranging from 128GB through 2TB depending upon which one you would like to get your hands on. According to the Cupertino-based giant, thanks to the new media engine, the iPad Pro 2022 has ProRES video capture with improved video processing speeds by 3 times compared to the predecessor.

The display onboard uses Liquid Retina on the 11-inch model, boosting the resolution of 1688×2388 pixels alongside a 120Hz refresh rate and ProMotion. The larger sibling with a 12.9-inch panel uses a Liquid Retina XDR mini-LED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2048×2732 pixels. Although it isn’t a surprise anymore, just to educate the uninitiated, the 11-inch was rumored to bring a mini-LED panel, however, it didn’t.

Both the panels have a P3 wide color gamut and TrueTone support. The 12.9-inch model has up to 1,000 nits of brightness on ordinary usage, boosting it all the way to 1600 nits of peak brightness.

Moving on, both the models are powered by WiFi 6E support while the cellular version has 5G support. Note that mmWave 5G connectivity is limited to the US while others will get Sub-6GHz 5G support on their iPad Pro 2022. There’s Bluetooth 5.3, a Thunderbolt 4 along with USB Type-C port support onboard. There’s a 20W USB charging support with the tab and an adapter in the retail box too.

There’s a 12MP ultrawide snapper at the front that should let you take amazing photos and videos. It has Center Stage support too. The back camera setup has two sensors i.e. a 12MP primary and a 10MP ultrawide snapper flanked with a LiDAR sensor. About the weight, the larger one sits at 685 grams while the smaller one pegs at 470 grams.
