In my decade of covering the smartphone beat, I’ve seen the “Fan Edition” moniker used far too often to justify stripped-back specs. But with the upcoming Vivo X300 FE, Vivo is flipping the script. Instead of a watered-down flagship, we’re looking at a modular photography powerhouse.
We’ve got an early look of the device and its headline-grabbing Zeiss lens attachment, and it’s clear that Vivo is no longer playing it safe with its “entry-level” flagship models. These set of images show the X300 FE in green color (which is exclusive to India), along with the attachment case and the lens.

The Zeiss Edge
The standout feature is undoubtedly the modular camera system. Similar to its more expensive siblings, the X300 FE supports external Zeiss lens attachments. From the hand-on images, the build quality feels remarkably premium, snapping onto the rear camera housing with satisfying precision. It’s a bold move that brings professional-grade glass to a much wider audience.
Launch Details
Vivo is set to officially unveil the X300 Ultra and the X300 FE in India on May 6th. For those eager to upgrade, the wait won’t be long as both devices are scheduled to hit shelves nationwide starting May 14th. The phone will be available in two memory options: 12/256GB and 12/512GB with three colors: Purple, Black & Green on offer.

X300 FE Specs: Small Size, Big Power
Don’t let the branding fool you; the spec sheet is purely top-tier. The device features a compact 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display, offering a crisp 1.5K resolution and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, first FE phone with a Qualcomm chipset.
On the optics side, the phone gets a triple-camera setup on the rear, with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 50MP 3X optical zoom lens. On the software front, the X300 FE will boot the latest OriginOS 6 build out of the box. It will be juiced by a large 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
